History
On July 1, 2009, it took just forty-eight seconds for our soccer godfather, Roger Levesque, to score the first goal in the first MLS matchup between the Seattle Sounders and the Portland Timbers. 48 SECONDS! This monumental strike set the stage for the Sounders’ dominance in our MLS era against Portscum.
Four years later, a few Emerald City Supporters found each other in the same enemy territory and formed the Anchor-N-Rose 48s. By 2023, our membership had set sail across Oregon, Washington and beyond, supporting the Sounders in five different time zones. As we move forward, we’re proud to have become a reliable anchor in the Rose City, ensuring that no Seattle Sounders supporter ever yachts alone, in enemy territory! YNYA!
What We Do
We’re here to drink. We’re here to sing. We host viewing parties for all Sounders matches, including regional and international play when we can. For PDX Away, we coordinate welcome parties and prefuncs, and oftentimes our own tifo. We design colorful rivalry-themed merch. We have “Yachtlucks” to keep in touch during the offseason.

Where We Meet: Portland and Bend
For Sounders supporters in the greater Portland area, join us for viewing parties at our home bar, Chuckanut Brewery.
